Number Porting

Use Existing BT Numbers for Inbound SIP Trunks

Coms can port BT numbers onto our system, enabling customers to change a single line number into a multi line number and giving you the flexibility to take the number with you if you move down the road, to the next county or even to another country!

Please note that any numbers with services attached/associated to them (e.g. fax, broadband, alarm systems) will be ceased when the number is ported over to Coms. If your number has associated services, you will need to transfer these services to new number with BT before attempting to port.

Porting Timescales

• 1 single line request = 10 working days
• Up to 10 single lines = 20 working days
• PBX 10 lines or less = 14 working days
• PBX 11 or more (or a centrex site) = 22 working days
• Simple DDI = 22 working days
• Complex DDI = 27 working days
• ISDN 10 lines or less = 14 working days
• ISDN 11 lines or more = 27 working days

BT directory enquiries

If you want your ported number to be listed on the directory enquiry service (118 150) please print off and complete this form and fax to 020 7148 3001 along with your other forms. Please note that there will be an additional £10+VAT charge per number for this facility. You may also sign this Letter of Authority, so we can port your number across.

Porting Costs

The cost of porting is £20 per number + VAT up to a maximum of £100 + VAT for five numbers or more.
Please note that any Resubmissions/Changes are charged at £20 + VAT.
