Traditional Telephone Lines & Telephone Calls

Many businesses still maintain a number of traditional, analogue telephone lines provided by BT or a reseller of BT services. In some cases these lines are required only for the installation of broadband Internet services, and in other cases they may be actively used for voice, fax or other types of calls. Coms can also assist you with these types of services to help keep everything under one roof.

Analogue Line Installation & Rental

Coms has access to a Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) channel so that we are able to install an analogue Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) line for you, either in preparation for a broadband Internet installation, to service traditional telephony equipment or to provide a hard line backup in the event of communication emergencies.

If any calls are made on your analogue PSTN line they are automatically routed to Coms (rather than BT) and are billed on your Coms account using our business PSTN call rates (available upon request).

Carrier Pre Select Service & Call Termination

If you hold PSTN services with another communications provider it is still possible for Coms to terminate your calls through the activation of Carrier Pre Select (CPS) on your line. With CPS in place, all of your calls are switched away from your current provier and are automatically redirected to Coms instead so that they are billed on your Coms account using our business PSTN call rates (available upon request).
